Happy Easter! This week we’re featuring not one, but TWO fabulous cake designs.
Here are a few shots from the rowing club oar that we did for UC Irvine’s crew teams. They had a Vanilla Chiffon cake with Belgian Chocolate Whipped filling throughout the oar. The team loved the fact that passers-by kept making double-takes, not sure if it was a real oar and wondering why it was on a table with a knife. The team mates were really great and were so appreciative. We hope to work for kids like this all the time!
This bottle of Dom was a gift for a fine young gent’s girlfriend to be eaten (because it’s made of poured sugar, not glass) in the Hard Rock Hotel suite he’d gotten for her birthday party, super cool! The ice bucket is the cake; the glasses are also made of sugar and hold champagne themselves. Charity George, our cake decorator/designer is a master now with the sugar! Go girl!
