Want to feel better about that Thanksgiving meal? Well, the week before Thanksgiving, Saturday November 23rd, is the Cooking Light + Health Magazines’ Fit Foodie 5K. The race is an opportunity for San Diego foodies to work up an appetite, on a course that features friends and family cheering stations, a finish line celebration, and a post-race Finisher’s Village for racers and supporters.
May not sound that different than most 5K runs, but the special thing about this race takes place in the “Finisher’s Village” after the run. There, participants and family/friends will be able to enjoy cooking demonstrations, fitness discussions, beer and wine tastings and much, much more! It is there that yours truly, Sweet Cheeks Baking Company, will be there with other amazing San Diego culinary experts satiating the appetites of hungry runners and supporters. An even better key point: there will be goody bags and all ages are welcome!
