What a terrific  way to say “thank you” by serving a little extra special treat – a top-rated wine from Italy! Not everyone knows our fixation with Italian wines (well, Italian ANYTHING, including our Italian husbands!), but it’s a big part of who The Cheeks are.  As a former Italian Wine Importer, Sommelier and Italian restaurant owner, “Right Cheek” Elaine has tasted a LOT of Italian wines and loves to share her recommendations…yum!

One fun couple stole our hearts with their great taste and this fantastic wine selection for their recent Big Day.  The wine: Marchesi di Barolo – Barolo “Sarmassa” 2010, DOCG, Italia  {Elaine’s notes on this wine: Full-bodied and elegant, with hints of rose petal & spice, this vino would be fantastic with a menu selection of Slow-Cooked Short Rib or Roasted Chicken with fresh sage…delizioso}

For Dessert, their guests enjoyed cake flavors of Blackout Chocolate & Vanilla Bean with dark chocolate truffle and ITALIAN Buttercream. Need I say more?

The venue from this beautiful wedding, Humphrey’s Half Moon Inn, is a fabulous, harbor side location with stellar views of regal yachts, delicious bayside foods, a tropical garden paradise and of course the best concerts in the area! Take all of these terrific features and add TOP QUALITY ITALIAN VINO…holy mackerel, we’re sold!

Flamenco guitarist? Professional dancers and party tunes? A great videographer to remember all the fun? WOW! This lovely, and very private, couple really went above and beyond by choosing a fantastic place to celebrate and treating their guests right. We’re not at liberty to reveal their names, but we’re thrilled that we got to play a part in their PERFECT DAY.
