On a bright, sunshine-y day in late July, we all relish the beauty of the beach and glory that San Diego beach weddings bring to visiting guests. Recently, on one particularly hot day, we proved again why working with professionals is key to a successful wedding. With too much sun to show off this stunning cake, we trusted our amazing Hotel Del Coronado partners, like Melody, to hunt down a fabulous umbrella to protect the buttercream. Thank you Melody & team!
Upon delivery, the ceremony was running late, and the sun was A-BLAZIN’, so Right Cheek (Elaine) found the fresh flowers that J Design left for her, hid the cake in its insulated delivery box, and decorated the cake LITERALLY on her knees, hiding from the guests in the shade of ONE BELLY BAR LINEN! Yes, the “extra mile” is what we offer for our clients, especially when the outcome is so lovely. This cake design is the perfect example of “Classic, Nautical beach elegance.”
What a joy to have the guests as well as Heather & Joe race over to watch the finishing touches with “ooohs” and “ahhhhs…” that’s the best part for us!!
We had an incredible team of professionals (see vendor list below), led by Creative Affairs coordinating a gorgeous ceremony & cocktail/reception all across the beautiful Paseo Lawns of the historic Del.
