Moving high class and urban chic to the downtown San Diego harborside, the new Intercontinental is not only the coolest new wedding venue in San Diego with spectacular views but already one of our favorite venues and happiest new clients! The Intercontinental Hotel Group (IHG) wisely hired in a killer F&B team, led by two of San Diego’s hottest chefs known for extraordinary skill & creativity in quality cuisine – Chef Amy DiBiase (formerly of La Jolla Shores, Paradise Point’s Tidal, and Grand Restaurant Group) and Chef Paul McCabe (formerly of KITCHEN 1540 at L’Auberge Del Mar, Royal Palms Resort & Spa in AZ, and Town & Country Hotel). We’re thrilled personally because these two chefs have bought desserts and dessert elements from us at Sweet Cheeks Baking Co. for years, so now we get to share the fun with them in this gorgeous environment..!

Equally awesome is the Catering & Events Department, led by Rebecca Brown, managed by Annette Berg (both also formerly of Paradise Point Resort) & Brenna Myers (previously at Estancia La Jolla) and their team of pros. To show off the new venue spaces, we teamed up with Brenna and the following list of SUPER PROS for the hotel’s first photo shoots on the rooftop wedding location and around this awesome property. Such a great combination, designed by Lindsay Swain of 13Thirteen Events, between Urban Modern-meets-Pops of Color”
