LA DOLCE VITA, MANGIA BENE!!

Am I the only one wishing I could shut my eyes and transport myself to a grande terrazza overlooking the shores of Lago di Garda, sipping Trento DOC bubbles and snacking on prosciutto & olives? (Doubt it)

YES, we mostly take custom orders, but this week we’re going back to our Italian roots to offer also one of our tastiest cookies (molto delizioso!) in honor of our wonderful friends & famiglia in Italy whom we won’t get to visit for quite a while.

When Italians create, they do it with style (stile), with passion (passione), and with love (“amore”). Think Ferrari sports cars, Pucci fabrics, Gucci bags, and our favorite Amarone wine by Dal Forno Romano!

Well, as a special ode to one of the most special little bakeries in the Trastevere section of Rome, we’ll be baking our version of delicious Italian cookies. This includes various cookies of many shapes & sizes are typically referred to as “cantucci” or “biscotti” in Italian.

  • Chocolate-Amaretti Italian Cookies – $30/dozen large cookies
    • Amaretto shortbread dipped in single-source dark chocolate, topped with sliced roasted almonds!

***Please order by Wed. noon for Fri pickup, and See our Square store MENU for more!***

The family-owned Biscottificio Innocenti (located at Via della Luce 21, 00153 Rome, Italy) has been baking here since 1920. Still in use is their conveyor belt oven, built-in 1950!!! Currently operated by Stefania Innocenti and her daughter Michela, it is a small and hidden GEM in a city of gems! We can only hope to produce something as exquisitely tasty and yet magnificently tasting as their decades-popular selections.

So when the COVID craze ends and allows people to travel again, I HIGHLY recommend you visit them next time you’re in Rome!

While you’re at it, book yourself a 3-hour Vespa tour with Valerio at Dearoma Tours – an experience you’ll NEVER FORGET!!!

Tornare PRESTO!!!
